Our mission is to provide an environment of fellowship for our active yachting membership and their guests. Our membership enjoys a traditional, yet updated yacht club facility, offering spectacular views of Essex Harbor from the dining room and elevated deck. We take great pride in our racing and cruising heritage, as well as our on-shore activities and social events calendar. Our club is open to members and their guests eleven months of the year.

Located on the waterfront in Essex, Connecticut, we welcome the visiting yachting community. The Club maintains moorings in Essex Harbor and Hamburg Cove. The anchorage is well protected and just six miles upriver from the Old Saybrook Light on Long Island Sound, and a 10-minute cruise to beautiful Hamburg Cove.

Welcome to the Essex Corinthian Yacht Club!

Our Clubhouse is near the foot of Main Street, within a few minutes walk of a museum, shopping, marine services and provisioning in the Village of Essex.

We extend a warm welcome to you from the Essex Corinthian Yacht Club!

THE ECYC CLUBHOUSE HAS RE-OPENED!

Effective June 17, 2020, the State of Connecticut and the Essex Health Department have eased restrictions that now allow our members to have access to the interior of the Clubhouse. Accordingly, members can now enter the building.
While we look forward to welcoming members back to the Club, we must require staff and member compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols.

Please follow the posted requirements to comply with state guidelines for safe operation. Tables and chairs have been positioned to achieve the required social distancing and we ask that you do not move them.

We know these are a lot of rules and regulations, but we must abide by State and Local requirements as well as provide an environment where Club members feel safe. Failure to do so could result in a closure order by the Health Department

A NEW CHEF HAS BEEN HIRED!

The Galley will re-open Sunday, June 28th for Brunch!

We are pleased to announce that after an extensive search, the Board has selected Chef Jay Groten as the new ECYC Chef.

Chef Groten comes to us with an excellent resume. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He has worked in well known kitchens since 1995 including Max on Main in Hartford, Restaurant Bricco in West Hartford and Sig’s Water Street Cafe in Chester. He has served as the Executive Chef at Grant’s Restaurant and Bar in West Hartford, The Daniel Packer Inne in Mystic and for 7 years at Gabrielle's in Centerbrook.

We welcome you to the re-awakening of ECYC and I wish you a great Summer.
