We are pleased to announce that Chef Lori Daley, an experienced Chef, will oversee galley operations at the Essex Corinthian Yacht Club.

Chef Daley has a long history of experience in the restaurant business that has its origin when she ran the ECYC Galley in the 1980s!

In subsequent years, Lori has worked at many locations in the food services industry, including the Old Lyme Inn, the Copper Beech Inn and the Inn at Mystic. She has overseen many large kitchen operations and has a wealth of catering experience.

More recently, Chef Daley has been the  chef behind the delicious prepared meals offered by Coffee's Country Store in Old Lyme.  She is renown for her delicious comfort meals as well as fantastic pastries and desserts.

Please join Chef Daley and her staff at our club and sample her delicious food. You will not be disappointed!

Throughout the year, the galley will serve lunch, brunch and dinner at our regular schedule. Please support the club's efforts to provide all our members with a great dining experience!

In addition, the ECYC Galley will be available to provide on- and off-site catering to our members.

The Essex Corinthian Yacht Club operates its own Galley under the leadership of Chef Lori Daley.

Our motto is:

Stewardship of an “environment of fellowship for yachtsmen and women at a modest price” which includes a sustainable galley operation offering quality food and service at a reasonable price. Chef Groten and his staff provide us with a variety of tried and true favorites, periodic specials, as well as catering for our club events.

The ECYC clubhouse is also available for private events!

     Enjoy your meal

Members are welcome to bring guests to

our dining hours (member shall accompany guests). Guests may pay with VISA or Mastercard.

If you are a member of a yacht club listed in the Register of American Yacht Clubs, you are also welcome to enjoy reciprocal privileges in our dining room! You may join us at dinner once (1) and at lunch/brunch three times (3) per quarter.

The Essex Corinthian Yacht Club is a SMOKE-FREE FACILITY!

Smoking is not permitted in the clubhouse, on the upper and lower decks, or on the docks and surrounding areas.

NOTE:​ Pets are not permitted in the clubhouse and dining areas.


About Our Dining Area:

Please note: the dining area is located on the second floor of the clubhouse. The building features a stair lift, but does not have wheelchair accessible ramps.

Lunch (self-service):
Wednesday,Thursday, Friday and Saturday
11:30 am to 2:00 pm
Dinner (table service):
Wednesday and Friday 
5:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Brunch (tableservice):

11:00 am to 2:00 pm - special brunch hours on selected holidays!

You can rent the beautiful clubhouse for your next private event!

The River Room and the main dining area, with its decks can be rented out for events on days when there is no regular galley service or scheduled club event (Mondays excluded).

Please contact ECYC for the terms & conditions of rental, rental and insurance fees, and other considerations. Our in-house Chef is the primary caterer for events held at ECYC.

Please note that ECYC does not permit the use of balloons as decorations at any time in or around the building, the dock area or in the parking lot.
